Sports cars have a downward sloping shape which doesn’t require a spoiler at all. It automatically reduces the air pressure by virtue of its shape but by adding the especially designed Honda spoilers you can easily see the difference of car’s performance. These spoilers are highly recommended in a sports car because if the sport car is on a long race, then it will start dragging after a short spell of time. For drag races, a spoiler isn’t recommended but if someone is going for a rally, then he must install the spoilers to his car.
The term Rear Wing Spoiler, then, is a bit of a misnomer as it implies some type of combination of the two. What most of us drive around with, whether factory mounted or an aftermarket version, is a Rear Spoiler. While some styles may imitate wings or foils, they are usually just for looks. But most spoilers will help reduce drag and improve gas mileage, which is good enough!
The frontal car spoilers are also called air dam. The rear spoiler, sometimes known as a wing, provides a downforce for better stability when accelerating at top speeds. Some rear spoilers come with a warning brake light built into the spoiler.
